PRAISE
PRAISE is an AI-based tool that allows lecturers to gain feedback from their audience both during and after the lecture.
During a lecture the audience expresss their level of engagement which is communicated to the presenter. At the end of the lecture a discussion is initiated on moments where engagement was especially high or low. The information gathered is consolidated into relevant feedback. The feedback can be accessed quickly, or be explored in more detail.

The design balances the needs of the audience with the needs of the lecturer, and aims to provide the right information at the right moment. Information is provided in a comprehensible way.

The design features both physical and digital elements that each link together to form a single system. The design process involved working with electronics and digital interface design.
Math, Data & Computing
The involvement of AI in the design meant designing with live measured data on speech as the numerical and textual feedback provided by the audience. An algorithm processes this data to evaluate insights and combines these with direct feedback.
Business & Entrepeneurship, Creativity & Aesthetics
The multiple separate components of the design required the same visual language and the appearance of the physical design needed to strike a balance between being noticeable without being intrusive.
